About me

I am Châu, freelance photographer during my spare time. Born in France with Vietnamese origins and currently living in London for several years, I have learnt to appreciate the differences of cultures and appropriate them.

I started photography in 2013 and progressively developed a passion for street photography, an infinite playground where I can enjoy the freedom of being myself and creating my own reality. My interest lies in a humanistic approach as I explore the individuals and the world around me with all their complexity and duality. I find inspiration in everyday's life, following my instinct and my emotions.

My inspirations:
Sergio Larrain, Anders Petersen, Alec Soth, Tony Ray Jones and Brassaï

Favourite photo essays:
Trent Parke - Minutes to Midnight (Steidl)
Alec Soth - Niagara (Steidl)

Camera:
Fujifilm X100T
